I feel like having three brothers helped me a little when it came to understanding some male foibles.

For example, they love to try to force their own snot down your throat - but if you mention any kind of weird monthly blood issue, they cringe.

I don't cringe on period talk or the sight of blood at all, but I grew up with sisters.

Eww. I did used to take my little brother's hand and make himself hit himself and say "Mark! WHY ARE YOU PUNCHING YOURSELF, STOP!" But nothing gross.
