Or first few lines, cos I love myself.
January: Friday night I conned
octal into picking me up from work, as we was in town for the weekend, and I met his "housemates" for the weekend, Keith and Craig, before going to Butch's on Aurora. Discussions and finagling followed - I still can't afford a nice gun, it looks like - and a moderately-priced shotgun was purchased, then we went back home.
February: A better way of choosing the US president:
WWF Style, with silly plotlines and masks and tights.
3 (13.6%)
A zeppelin race around the globe, with the Queen herself dropping the checkered flag.
8 (36.4%)
Jeopardy tournament.
10 (45.5%)
March: I got up with Reg and made him oatmeal, then when he left I had an omelette and one slice of toast. I didn't eat again till after 6pm, which may have contributed to the headache I got around 1pm. It wasn't that bad so I didn't take anything, but by 5pm I wanted to die.
April: Dinner with Reg's parents Thursday: Carnegie's. Or is it Carnegie? Anyway it's a really really great little place in Ballard that is slightly expensive but no more than most nice places.
May: stuck in my head: A mashup of "Drop It Like It's Hot" with Aphex Twin.
June: Had a dream where I was showing Hunter S. Thompson around Seattle, mainly the underground. It was sort of like a No Reservations episode with him as host and me as the fixer. It was really fun and we drove around crazily and found a couple of speakeasies, but I felt overwhelmingly sad when I woke up from it.
July: I have been ranting a while about the crows in Seattle. Nothing is being done to prevent them from breeding, they appear to have no natural enemies in the city, and they are, quite frankly, a menace.
August: whenever someone does something inexplicable we try to find reasons. Not excuses, but traces to underlying rationality. Or even irrationality.
September: 1) Left Saturday morning around 10am and ran smack into a bunch of Cougars (WSU fans, not MILFs). For some reason they were playing a game at Seahawk Stadium. I-90 was impossible to get onto for 20 minutes.
October: There are very few movies that I've seen more than 4 times. I mean, there are the stupid comedies, which I can watch over and over (mainly I used to put on Airplane! when I couldn't sleep), but Getting All Of It out of a film only takes me 2 or 3 viewings. I think Fight Club and Star Wars are probably two of the movies I've seen most in my life, although I stopped watching SW after the Han-Shooting debacle.
November: When
hotcrab still lived in Seattle, we went to Contour all the fucking time, and as it had afterhours, we'd often see the time change. They were not one of those places where 2am becoming 1am meant the bar was still open, though. Ah well.
December: Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels; Snatch: Seen them both before but Guy Ritchie's first two films are so amazingly well-done.
Croupier: Clive Owen's first big break is still probably his best film.
