lauralh• I'm still wearing a stocking on my head. Luckily I work at a large laissez-faire tech company where no one's fashion choice is ever seriously questioned. (Pin curls for tonight's party, if you were wondering.)
• This morning I nearly passed out on the bus reading about a character's seizure in Infinite Jest. It was pretty vivid, from that character's point of view, and necessarily lurid. (Every lurid thing has so far been necessary, I mean, so I'm taking that stand.)
• I made English Muffins last night. They are delightfully easy. I will make more this weekend.
• For the past 6 weeks or so, Reg has been obsessively watching Man vs. Wild and Survivorman. I tried to get him to watch The Office parody of the latter but no dice. Anyway I think Bear Grylls looks like a marginally less attractive but more manly version of Adrien Brody, and he has the same accent as Christian Bale, so I watch it with him sometimes when I'm feeling, you know, interested. Although I can't really watch him eat grubs/skunk/his own piss. But boy, being on a deserted island with him would not be bad at all!
