Just watched the Beirut special of No Reservations. Bourdain was there when the bombs dropped last summer, and they didn't do the crazy wacky show they normally do. This one was far more straight up documentary, chronological order, VO and all. But it was good, and it was touching... and a bit depressing. He ends it wondering if, when the cameras are gone, no one is happy, no one gets along. He hoped not, but I can't really share that optimism, and it got me a little down.
(also the version we got was encoded weird and the sound cut out in some places.)
