SO THAT MOVIE WAS PRETTY DECENT.

edit:

[18:06] skipbreakfast: He doesn't seem to have a sense of humor
[18:06] lauralBaby: he says some funny stuff
[18:07] lauralBaby: in a dry way
[18:07] lauralBaby: it's not cheeky ho-ho silly bond
[18:08] lauralBaby: he's less a spy and more an assassin
[18:08] skipbreakfast: oh good
[18:09] lauralBaby: and he's not superhuman - every time he tries to jump on something he stumbles a little
[18:09] skipbreakfast: even better
[18:10] skipbreakfast: does he bag 3 chicks as usual?
[18:10] lauralBaby: just two
[18:10] skipbreakfast: hahaha
[18:10] skipbreakfast: that whore
[18:11] lauralBaby: actually i don't even think he fucked the first one

it speaks volumes that the movie is icon-worthy.

My one complaint is that I think they could have had a third of the number of villains. Did that guy with one eye even have a name?

I didn't think there were that many villains. the chiffer guy and mr. white?

Yeah... the one with the hat and eyeglasses with one black lens, who worked for Mr. White.

I suppose they were mostly henchman, but it seemed like every time Bond turned around he was chasing someone new. I was quite fond of Le Chiffre and somewhat disappointed that so much of the movie continued after his death. Then again, I'm overly fond of poker so if I'd had my way the movie would have probably more closely resembled the World Series of Poker, but with sexiness.

Regardless, leave it to wikipedia to catalog what I was talking about.

I think I what I liked best was he had scars after jumping off cranes and getting punched in the head with a machete. Well, that and the torture scene. Other than that it was kind of long. I don't know what was going on with that accent either.

I liked when, after he killed those two freedom fighter assassins, he ran back upstairs and looked so tired. Because he had to rinse off three peoples' blood, change his shirt, and look pristine when he got back downstairs (in 30 minutes) and played another high-stakes game of poker. No reflecting on what just happened; no cooling down. And he hasn't quite learned to shut it off yet.
