The metafilter discussion was really interesting because everyone's scenarios were basically describing what life was like for most people in the seventies - hell the way I still live: one television, small house, used cars, not a lot of going out, local produce, meatless meals several times a week, laundry done at the laundromat... not so bad. I wish the rest of the world would go right ahead.
