"Puff Puff Pass" just barely beat out "Don't bogart it."

The question, FYI, was more about the current terminology, rather than how many hits it is polite to take off of what sort of weed apparatus. I personally had never heard "fucking up the rotation" except in reference to music, so there you go.

I find it more appropriate to say something when the person is just holding the device, as opposed to inhaling too much.

yeah I'ts about 99 times more likely to encounter someone camping on the pipe then someone trying to smoke all your weed, at least in my experience.

"fucking up the rotation" should only be used when someone's taking a hit out of turn, not when they're (according to whatever standard) taking one too many hits. "hey, you're fucking up the rotation!" is something you say when, say, a new smoker joins the circle and they unknowingly pass it to someone who has just had a hit, while other smokers have been patiently waiitng their turn. if, you know, there's a limited amont of weed and you're with people who actually care about that sort of thing.

RE: being more prone to say something when said offender is just holding the smoking utensil and not actually hitting it - agreed. my friend kat always says,"it's a joint, not a microphone" when some stoner is rambling on about some stupid shit while the pot burns itself away. i like that.
