So not only have I not been able to hook up the iPod to my computer for months, but this week the charging started to get wonky. Basically I guess it's the little connector in the bottom, b/c Reg uses the same cord for his mini and he doesn't have these problems.

So I just ordered this.

I've almost always charged the iPod with an AC adapter. Much better that way.

oh, I assumed you were charging it over USB like a lot of people do.

nah, it has both USB and power-AC in the same cord thingy
