ok does anyone remember that site a few years back where you could bid on something at a low price, and if enough people agreed to pay that price, you could all buy it for that much?
yeah! i got about $100 in amazon gift certificates from those original myspace guys when they would occasionally loose files of mine. of course they didn't give me the $10,000 in certificates i felt entitled to when they went out of business and deleted all my files with only three days notice. not exactly surprising though.
I believe that the bidding mechanism you are talking about is called a "reverse auction", or a "Dutch auction". You might simply try doing a websearch on either of those terms, and see if anything that pops up sounds familiar?
