lauralhugh, my head hurts.
So we watched Incident at Loch Ness the other day, and I have to say it's probably one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The best comparison I can give is that it's a parody of "Lost in La Mancha", except that the film it's covering the making-of is a documentary about the Loch Ness monster, and also, the film isn't real anyway. So it's a mockumentary of a mockumentary. Not only that, but there are only a few actual actors. Everyone else is a real director or DP or sound guy or screenwriter. It's somewhat convoluted, and I imagine anyone going to see it with no advance knowledge would be having a few Blair Witch moments. Basically, two guys are making a documentary about this German B-movie director's life, and they splice together the weeks that he is making the documentary about Nessie. But the producer of that documentary has a different idea of where the film should go, and doesn't let on to the director.
"Funnier than Waiting for Guffman" is my ringing endorsement.
