I have only had two parking tickets ever. One was in a state I never intended to return to (with that car), so I never paid it. The other was where I lived, so I paid it. (Hence 50%.)
they tried to ticket and tow me at the airport once, but I got back right as the tow truck pulled out, and while they took my name and address, never mailed the ticket.
Yeah, when I lived on Cap Hill, I got a parking ticket for "blocking an unmarked crosswalk." I was pissed off, because I considered this roughly akin to "running an invisible traffic light". But I paid it.
when i was dating interimlover at one point i had $400 in combined parking tickets/fees 'cause i would go to visit him downtown and i kept getting ticketed
nowadays i am better about paying them on time but it helps that i can actually afford it. the whole system is set up so that people who don't have enough money at the time get SCREWED
My car is in my dead uncle's name, so any tickets go on his record. If I'm not perfectly legal in my parking, I risk the scoff-law penalty of a tow trip to Ballard, but the ticket fee is included in the tow fee. I had over $1000 in tickets, and payed $125 to get my car out and all the tickets forgived.
ticket fee is not included in the tow fee in seattle. i've had my car towed at least twice and it is about $120 to get it back, and whatever tickets you have still on top of that.
I despise parking tickets and i think meter maids are the lowest people on the earth. but i pay them, because otherwise they just send them to collections and it fucks your credit.

Date: 2005-11-18 10:14 pm (UTC)Or does your poll mean "pay your parking tickets immediately, as opposed to paying them only when I have to"? Because you always pay.
