[Poll #587660]

edit: if it helps, add "of my mother's born children"

Only child until age... er... 10? At which point acquired two stepsisters from HELL, one effectively same age (4 months older) and one roughly 2 years older.

I do not recommend this scenario, for any of you viewers playing along at home.

Well, hm. How to answer.

I have a step-sister who lives in California 50 weeks of the year. She is older than me yet she is mentally retarded and, so, "is" 5y/o-8y/o, sooooo. I've always been "the big sister" while younger.

CONVOLUTED.

only child of my parents, but between step and half siblings, i'm 2nd youngest (woulda been youngest were it not for the step/now-adopted lil' sister)

I'm the youngest. My parents were both married before they married each other, but neither of those marriages produced children, and they have been together for 40 years. My family is an anomaly.

but what if your mom had a c-section? or if you sprang fully-formed from her brow like Athena from Zeus, only matrilineally?

That's all good. I mean, you know, insanity.

there might not be one, but I think it's that your dad didn't hold you in his womb for 9 months. there are certain hormone levels and such that change things sometimes.
