To Kill a Mockingbird talks about things like rape. People had more objection to the issues of incest and rape than they did of the rampant racisim and treatment of black people.

A Wrinkle in Time is considered antiauthoritarian and anything with a fantasy theme is considered the work of the devil by evangelical religious groups.

Little Black Sambo is considered racist by a lot of hyper liberal groups. Mind you these people have no sense of context. They also don't like Mark Twain for the same reason.

Hehe, this book ban shit just really makes no sense. Censorship as a whole is getting seriously screwy nowadays. I read about Oliver Stone or someone of the nature doing a 9/11 film about the Trade Center events, but that they can not use people falling from buildings nor the planes striking, and certainly no rubble. Apparently, they want the drama without the cause, which makes no sense.

How to Eat Fried Worms was one of my favorite books ever, based on the title alone. The story wasn't bad either, but I can't remember anythign about it that would cause it to be banned.
