Mom used to have MAJOR issues, and needed 4 decades to get her head together, but now she's pretty great. Dad always had many minor issues, and has made no progress whatsoever.

To clarify, it's just my Dad that's dead. My mom's great. You didn't ask about stepparents, so... *shrug*
