the sun hurts my eyes
Aug. 8th, 2005 09:50 amMy arms hurt like I spent this weekend moving instead of last. Seriously it hurts to lift up and push my hair out of my eyes. I have no idea what is the cause of this, except perhaps using my arms excessively while dancing. Which doesn't make much sense.
Rabbit in the Moon was a killer show, although I felt a distinct Gen-X rave-satire thing going on. But it was in that "enjoying while mocking" vein. Big lights, TVs, firedancers, and a costume change every twenty minutes. Racks of full-size Roland keyboards and synthesizers, and then decks at the end with remixes of "same boy I used to be" and um, "Sweet Child o' mine." The point was to blow minds, and it did.
Afterwards we went to Simon's then Trish's then I began feeling the initial twinges of this pain so I went home. And slept. And finished Emma. And watched Maverick.
Saturday afternoon we watched the kickball game, which also involved no arm movement, but a bit of sweatiness, then had
