I just finished Dirty Tricks. Wow, what an interesting and amusing book. I started it this morning and didn't go back to Sense and Sensibility yet. Anyway it's about 40-year-old disillusioned ex-hippie who's come back to England after 20 years abroad as an English teacher and is trying to fit in to Thatcher's new realm. He starts by having an affair with an accountant's wife while the guy's in the next room at a dinner party, and pretty much things continue in that vein, although with murder too. Best dark comedy I've read in ages.
