Damned, I miss this. Not that I get PBS out here ;-). I'm just about to read GGS (which I stole from Reg). I have read a number of his essays and enjoyed them quite a bit.
I watched it. Pretty good. You forgot to mention that this was part one of a 3 part series, all being done Mondays at 10.
My main objection so far is that he (like everyone else) has so far completely ignored the actual concepts of what wealth is, and of wealth accumulation, in his presentation. I mean, if you are going to try to answer the question of "why one group has so much, and everyone else has so little" then you've GOT to start by defining your terms! And if you do that clearly enough, then half the answer to the question smacks you right in the face.
