I finished that book, the author is completely insane. He like, interviewed people in a crack house, paying them each about $25 an hour, and he went to Medellin, and interviewed the Ochea family, and he even tried to smuggle drugs from Mexico. Of course in that endeavor he failed miserably: he tried to get ketamine from the drugstore, saying it was for a "very sick friend." THe pharmie was like "It's for animals, dude" and he said "Uhhhh my friend is a dog?" and ran the hell out. ANYWAY really interesting stuff.
