don't give up
Jun. 1st, 2004 08:14 amOccasionally my computer at work will get into this wacked out state where the keys do not do what they are supposed to do, but I finally figured out yesterday that it was a Sticky Key thing. I totally turned that fucking shit off.
Yesterday was interesting in that "only person in america who had to work" sort of way. It did allow me to drive and park downtown, which led me to worrying all day that my car would either get ticketed/towed or broken into. None of which happened, but the tree I parked under did leave tree snot on my windshield, and my best efforts so far are not washing it off. Ho well, it should rain again before I use that car.
Also work is rather annoying b/c I've been taking over from this guy who's gone on vacation for one project, and my "partner" for this endeavour is far from equal. I don't know why I'd taken charge even before realizing that, but that's just the way it's going. I'm marvelously competent, and all that bullshit. I just hate being responsible for other people's mistakes. So yeah, doing lots of work and I hate it.
Today I'm wearing a hoodie and flip flops. I just need a fucking north face jacket to be a complete seattle fashion victim. And another facial piercing. Oh, and boyfriend who works at Microsoft, although mine does live on the Eastside. (I was joking with
verybadlady about how my ruin would have to be a guy with a PDA, a MSFT t-shirt, and keys to his Beamer.)
