Highway came on just as the second round of meds kicked in, and I was totally out of it during the entire thing. I suppose that's how you are supposed to watch this film, as in retrospect I can say that it's really bad. I think it was trying to be The Doom Generation except without any of the sexiness and extreme-ness. On the other hand, Gyllenhaal and Leto are serious eye candy. And Jeremy Piven has a lovely cameo, which is really what got me to leave the station on in the first place.

Hours prior I noted that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was on. The movie, not the TV show. The movie's 11 years old now. Damn. I saw it around the time it came out, late night weekend movie fare, probably fell asleep during it, wasn't impressed. Still not that impressed, as the show is miles better, but it's I guess like a bad episode or two. Very reminiscent of the Dracula episode, actually. The villain in the movie is just as gay, I mean. "The Ann Rice routine" is not so appealing to me anymore. But - Pee Wee Herman! And it was nice to see that Luke Perry is just as unattractive as I thought he was in high school. (Jason Priestly all the way.)
