back to the scene of the crime
Oct. 21st, 2003 10:01 am* Still plodding through Midnight's Children. It's so um, Owen Meany in Bombay, I dunno. This is a good thing, of course, but it makes me ashamed of my piddling novel. Well, oh well, I will rewrite it. I'm trying to think about it today, at work.
*Apparently yesterday was the most rain in seattle ever for a 24-hour period. I'm not surprised, as (contrary to popular opinion) it doesn't really ever Rain in seattle. We have precipitation coming from the sky, but actual rain? Downpours that get you wet if you stand in them for five minutes? That's rare. Anyway I was frightened by the flooding of the streets and stayed in tonight. Figured out how to mix hot water and rum and sugar to make a tasty beverage that warms you to the tips of your toes. Although in retrospect maybe I should have braved the floods. Eh.
*Whenever I see the law firm name of Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell I always think Gordon Bunsen Honeydew.
