everyone else is doing it.

  1. I have not been camping since I was 17 or so. And that was in the wilds of Louisiana in summer. I shall say no more.
  2. I've never been to California.
  3. My number one reason for not liking most music I don't like? The singer is no good.
  4. I have three brothers and a sister. Order: Fred, me, Aaron, Matt, Gillian. There's 14 years between Fred and Gillian.
  5. I totally don't care about most things unless they personally affect me.
  6. I used to watch a shitload of TV. Every night I'd watch whatever was on prime time.
  7. Remember those Sunday evening made-for-TV disney movies? I loved those. "Not Quite Human" and the New Parent Trap I and II.
  8. Nowadays I just turn it on and watch whatever's on. Well, if it doesn't suck. It all mostly sucks. But some of it is entertaining. I think people who don't own TVs are nazies untrustworthy.
  9. I also don't trust people who don't read, although I drift into being one of those people now and then.
  10. Aggressive loud-mouthed girls kind of scare me. "Intimidate" is the right word.
  11. I had braces and glasses starting in 8th grade. The glasses came off before 10th, braces just at the end.
  12. My grandfather on my mother's side died before I was born. All other grandparents started dying while I was in college. My mother's aunt Noba, however, is over 90 and still kickin' it.
  13. I have been to countries in Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.
  14. On the other hand I've never been to Britain, Mexico or Canada (unless you count Windsor).
  15. I was raised Mormon and Cajun. This means I don't like spicy food except for Jello. (Joke.)
  16. I used to always write on college-ruled notebook paper, which made my handwriting small for life. Even the karaoke hostess mocks the size.
  17. In third grade, when you learn to write cursive, our class wasn't taught till after the winter holidays. But I was ahead of the curve so my teacher let me practice before. And this made my handwriting super freaky and not at all similar to anyone else in my class.
  18. Before this I had tested as "Talented and Gifted" and therefore got to miss an hour of class every week playing logic puzzles. One of these teachers was freaked out by the fact that I made my "a"s and "o"s counter-clockwise, and wrote a note to my mother.
  19. I didn't drink cola till I was 13. Alcohol, 20. Coffee, 22.
  20. I hate mushrooms.
  21. The smell of leather makes me stop in Wilson's at the mall every. single. time.
  22. The first two episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that I watched, I hated. Partly because I couldn't understand what the hell was going on. So, I read episode summaries off what was then called Mighty Big TV (now Television without Pity) till I was less confused enough to watch the next episode without hatred.
  23. I used to read Star Trek: The Next Generation erotic fan fiction.
  24. My first "dirty" book was The Robots of Dawn by Asimov.
  25. The first rated R movie I saw was Heathers.

I own two.

my mother.

That's abnormal? I'm trying to do it clockwise and it's almost as difficult as writing with my non-dominant hand. But then again, my parents and teachers did do a lot of talking....

Okay, I can't even figure out how to make an a any way but counterclockwise.

As for o, I think it goes either way pretty easily. I think counterclockwise is easier in cursive, but I think clockwise is just as easy if you're printing.

this and that

I totally don't care about most things unless they personally affect me.

Is that unusual? I sold three engines on 9/11.

I made my "a"s and "o"s counter-clockwise

People write their a's and o's *clockwise*? Freakish.

I hate mushrooms.

Amen! Not the taste, the texture.

The smell of leather makes me stop in Wilson's at the mall every. single. time.

I love my leather jacket from Wilson's. Alas, it's too small now.

Star Trek: The Next Generation erotic fan fiction

Brave. I like star trek as much as the next nerd perv, but not enough to read the erotic fan fiction!

really, mormon? i would have never guessed.

and supposedly small handwriting is a sign of intelligence. of course, it wouldn't really apply in cases like my friend al who purposely learned to write small so as to appear intelligent.

Asimov's Robots of Dawn dirty? how? is that some mormon thing or is it something about the book itself? I've never read it...

There's quite a bit of sex in it. A robot is "killed" who was used as a sex toy, basically.

yeah, i've always made mine that way too. But my handwriting was always "wrong" in one way or another and is atrocious to this day.
