Our housemate is going to burning man or something, therefore (?) he bought these electric scooters. They are damn cute, but they also use some kind of fuel which has stunk up our living room. Nonetheless I want to borrow one and go to the store or something.

I think I started drinking alcohol regularly before I started drinking caffeine regularly. I'm not sure. Regardless I remember when I started working in early 2002 and could not adjust to waking up in the morning. I began a terrible cycle of having tea to wake up and then not being able to fall asleep at night. I was not drinking more than a cup, either. I'm not sure how I adjusted, but I'm pretty sure the real problem was more that my stupid boyfriend insisted on working from home via laptop till 3am or so. Er, while lying in bed. Have you ever tried to sleep while someone was lying next to you typing and shit? It's crazy I tell you.

But the point is that I had a double latte yesterday and it drove me crazy. Well, not too crazy. I purposely ordered the short, hoping for a single shot, but to no avail. Around noon I felt naseau. Not too strong, I just kept drinking water and I didn't even get a headache. But in the middle of watching About Schmidt I crashed but hard, thought I was going to fall asleep on the drive home. Did not, thankfully. Went to bed around eleven though.

I need boots for under $50. I have to buy them in person because my legs are short and my feet are big. This sucks.

Being the algorithmic geek that I am, I found a figure that states on an average, a person's leg size (measuring from hip to heel) is generally 3 to 4 times longer than their foot length.

Women's size 8 shoes are equivalent to 9-1/2 inches. So when we play the averages game, Ms. Laural's legs should be between 28-1/2 to 38 inches long, making the average length of her legs approximately 33-1/4 inches long. This would mean that if she wants 16 inches of boot covering her leg, then 17-1/4 inches are exposed from the hem of the boot to her hip.

This is of course postulate, the major variable being whether or not she wears a skirt.
