I pretty much call any talking I do to the opposite sex (and vice versa) flirting, but only if I find them attractive (or vice versa). Beyond that I don't really know either. I mean, flyer-boy was cute, so I went out of my way to chat him up a couple of times, trying to get him to come out to Boudoir and all that. So, um, yeah, if someone casually asks to meet you again, that's probably flirting.
There's a whole art to it, which I'm only capable of while drunk, though.
