Since I'm feeling out of it, I've just been watching movies. Steve owns L.A. Story, which I haven't seen since, um, before I lost my virginity. It was just as good/funny as I remember. But dear god, Sarah Jessica Parker was so freakin' young, I couldn't believe it. I don't really like her - or rather, I don't like her Sex and the City character - but she was peppy in a charming way in this film. And as Steve said, it's Steve Martin's last decent movie, more or less. Well, funny anyway.

I also watched Spiderman. I dunno if it's just because I've been watching other comic book movies, but I had forgotten how much I loved that movie. Science nerd makes good and gets the girl. I dunno, the whole cheezey "with great power comes great responsibility" thing just resonates somehow. I used to read Spiderman comics as a kid, and I do like the way he's always alone, no matter what. The X-Men, they have each other; Neo has Trinity; Spiderman has, what, Aunt May? She doesn't really understand him, though. J. Jonah Jaimeson hates him, MJ just doesn't quite get it. Plus, you know, Peter Parker is really like the best name ever. Simple and elegant.

I have a slight desire to be sociable today, but I really don't trust myself to drive. Perhaps I'll get a Romanian over later. We'll see, I suppose.

I adore Steve Martin. I've been meaning to read his book Shopgirl.

L.A. Story is one of my favorite movies in the history of mankind.

I read that book.
It was cool detached and fairly sad. Much like Steve Martin.

I haven't watched that for awhile...I loved the first day of spring on the freeway.

I just realized the simple elegance of my own legal name. It might not be up to PP's standards, but it has its own charm.

I don't even use it. How sad.

I do so dearly love LA Story, though. It's a great flick.

Eck. Sara Jessica, young or not, has a horse-face... I dont understand her appeal...

Steve Martin rawks excessively.

I was watching and thinking "I bet if a European saw this, he wouldn't think it was quite as funny as we do."
