May. 17th, 2003 12:38 pmSo as some of you know, I want to get a tattoo. But I'm one of those people who thinks that you shouldn't get something permanent on your body unless it means something to you. I'm also one of those people who um, well, nothing means anything to me longer than a few years. But anyway. I wrote a novel recently, and I figured that THAT is what I should get a tattoo of. Well, a dragon, I mean.
Piercings don't appeal to me because I'm allergic to stainless steel. I've idly thought of getting a belly ring, but I want to flatten my stomach a bit more before I do that. The other thing I'd like to get is a labret (the area under your lip) piercing, because they just look neat. And everyone and their sister seems to have one, so they don't seem too overly freaky. Less freaky than a tongue piercing, in my mind. Unfortunately, as Steve pointed out, I'd need a job for rizzle before I could get that kind of piercing. Ah well.
We went to the Twilight Exit last night. Briefly. I ran out of cash. Chatted with
alicetiara and
kerrinb. I don't care what anyone else says, I like the Twilight Exit. It reminds me of a cafe I went to in Berlin. I mean, it's a little too trendy but only a little, it's not like the fuckin' Cha. I'm not a fan of dive bars, but I do like places with velvet and/or leather couches. I think there's just about the right mix of hipsters and "normals". Not that I wanna go more than once a week (or even once a month), but I don't mind. I feel ok there. And I don't in most dive-y places.
We then of course went to the Contour. That was actually really enjoyable. The Romanians are out of commission (one is in Europe, the other worked late) but we know the staff, and this was really apparent last night. We joshed around with them for hours, doing shots and getting plowed. It was a really fun time. Got home after three and IM'd some people who were far drunker than I was. "Good times."

Okay, thanks.
I guess I wouldn't be allergic, then, not ever having gotten any rashes from my dog tags.
