Interesting post about why non-aggression doesn't apply in the case of wars. or at least this one. I don't know if I buy it, but I do know that I'm pretty anti-government*, so there you go.

*I'm not 100% against all forms of government, mainly just the ones that exist at the moment.

I grew up with a lot of drama in my household. Despite this (or because of it) I tend to shy away from it. (At the same time I will sometimes pick fights with people just to find out if they're for real.) Nonetheless I prefer to approach conflict logically, if at all. My ex used to accuse me of trying to live a life of "tragedy" (IE dramatic situations), but I have to say, if I wasn't over it before, I think my new housemate has pushed me over the edge here.

Cool find of the day: In Trillian, type out "(w00t)".

hey, crazy. you've linked to my single least favorite person on livejournal. my apologies, but that is the absolute stupidest collection of words i've seen assembled concerning the war in iraq to date.

Is this better? (http://www.nybooks.com/articles/16166)

Seriously though, I think it's more of a logical exercise: if government is going to fuck up, they may as well fuck up big time.

Government + me = nay
I don't hold a lot of faith in someone else controlling my destiny alongside the destiny of a nation, as well as the entire world. I've always fell in line with quotes from random people like Einstein, with the whole, "I don't know how WW III would be fought, but I know that WW IV will be fought with sticks and stones." I would be more inclined with government at a WW IV point, given that it would more than likely be a much more managable situation and all. I guess I just don't dig on authority figures in terms of ruling all. *shrug*
As for random acts of drama/dramatic situations, you would probably take elements of my life like heroin. I've almost been shot, almost got arrested, almost put effort into reforming a lesbian back into my girlfriend, and burned all of my chin hair off last night (not almost, did. The pics will be posted up sometime in the next few days.). I feel that situations such as those help me to deal with the more mundane things in life, in that looking at problems I face within scope and remembering the harder things I've come across, then laughing at the things people tell me are problems when I think of what I've been through. That's me, though.

i think it's the very weak attempt of an egotistical ex-military jackass (a homophobic, racist one i might add) to twist an ideology, one which it seems he subscribes to as an excuse to be an asshole and claim it's philosophical, to justify a preconceived stance. "I find that the right way of wrapping my mind around the issues comes naturally for me.... Invariably, every item I read by Libertarians is anti-war on Iraq. Invariably, all these Libertarians are wrong." since when is 'i can sense inconsistencies' a rebuttal? and governments are inherently evil and violent, that's why "I want our tanks to roll into Baghdad."?? this makes so little sense he should be a cabinet member in the bush administration.
