thursday hangover
Feb. 27th, 2003 10:11 amOh, this is rich. But painful.

So am I the only person who was creeped the fuck out by Mr. Roger's Neighborhood? I'm sure I watched it when I was quite young, and then got over it before even starting school, but having two little brothers get into it afterwards sort of annoyed me to death. Maybe I'm just a born cynic, but I remember wanting to bash my head against the wall to get those insipidly catchy tunes out of it. I was probably seven or so.
--
I should not have had that last shot of tequila. (Famous last words.) I cannot even remember the second song I sang last night. I mean, I know I did Culture Club, and Steve and I did "Easy Lover"... did I do "Invisible Touch" ? I think I did but maybe I dreamed that I did. It's great when you dream about singing karaoke. Gah.

Beforehand we watched The Princess and the Warrior. This was the movie that, the first time I tried to watch it, I passed out at the Harvard Exit. Fortunately Steve has as weak a stomach as I, so we cued past the scene and watched the rest of the movie, make trach' jokes all the while. "Starship Trach'ers!" "Trach' Fiction!" Needless to say we found the movie a little slow in parts, such as almost all of it. I dunno, it did nothing for me. I guess I had it built up too much after over a year.
