lauralhFinally busted into the AMC passes I got and saw Barbershop. Entertaining, cute. But I think 8 Mile is still better. Not sure when I'm going to go see another movie, although there was talk of The Transporter.
I watched Dracula 2000 on Saturday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, clearly, not good, but not all that terrible. I maybe have a soft spot for vampire movies, though. Especially when they have attractive people in them. Always makes a cheesy horror flick easier to swallow.
edit: Oh yeah, watched about half of The Cable Guy too. I'd seen it before but not since, actually, it came out. My god is that movie underrated. I didn't quite get it when I first saw it, because I thought it was a comedy, but really it wasn't. And it wasn't just Jim Carrey being one of his annoying characters, either, although it's easy to make that mistake. It's really the dark underbelly of There's Something About Mary, a dark comedy of wackiness. Plus there's great cameos, from Owen Wilson to Jack Black. I'm starting to fall in love with Owen Wilson (esp. after that scene with Carrey beating the shit out of him in the restroom).
