I can't believe that in less than a week I'll be in Holland. I got my Lonely Planet Western Europe today, and posters for my friend yesterday, so I should be ok. The weather forecast looks like Seattle - or at least how Seattle is supposed to be. Right now it's unseasonably warm and sunny during the day but at least it's chilly at night. Not that I'm really complaining all that loudly, mind you.

But honestly I don't believe it. I don't mean it in that "Wow, how cool" sense, I mean it literally is beyond my grasp. I keep forgetting about it. I have my passport and tickets all set, and my ATM card naturally, the guidebook as I said... I need to do something about music, though. I plan to take my walkman instead of my "mp3 player" (pocket pc), and my little paper journal that I took to Argentina and Europe last summer. Mainly because I don't know if I'll get to charge it at night. Heh. It'll be a throwback - no PDA, no cell phone, no internet probably. Haven't done that in quite a while - even in Europe I went to internet cafes or bought computer time in the hostels. It'll just be books, tape player and paper journal, just like Argentina. Although hopefully without "teh drama" present there. Heh.

if you email me your address I will rush you a mix tape or CD to take with. (or alternately i can just tell you what i'd put on it and you can download it and do it yourself but that kind of defeats the purpose of getting a mix tape from someone else whom you don't know.)
