lauralhMy unfinished novel is really far too long, although I think a lot of it is setup that is quite necessary. Especially as I finally read the first Harry Potter book, which does a rather similar thing. My novel may be longer, but it's also written for a slightly older audience.
And I'm really rather happy with it. In five years I think it will have been published and done modestly well. Of course I have dreams of it doing really really well and winning awards and all that, but how likely is that? Just getting it published will be enough of a bitch.
