besides watching Harry Potter movies....
Aug. 16th, 2010 03:27 pmTwilight meets Badlands in this crazed bloody sexy fic, The Emperors of Washington.
I made strawberry ice cream yesterday. Bought the ripest, almost-rotten strawberries I could find, used Twin Brook Creamery Half-n-Half (which is more or less like Darigold whole milk), and more sweet-n-low than sugar. It was the most wonderfully delicious thing ever. Almost like sorbet rather than ice cream. It made me realize that what Breyer's does is add probably twice the amount of milk/cream for the same basic recipe. Why not, milk is way cheaper than fresh fruit.
These are my top two bread recipes: Sandwich Bread and "Artisan" Bread. I've tried the overnight no-knead bread, and I do like it, but honestly, this recipe is nicer. Although I do lower the temperature and cook it 20 minutes in a Dutch Oven with the lid on, then 15 with the lid off (less if I use less dough).
