Friday [livejournal.com profile] dearnana came over to kick it at our place. We all went to Thaiku for dinner, then headed to Goldie's for karaoke with [livejournal.com profile] whip_poor_will. We were the first to arrive for [livejournal.com profile] goldfischegirl's birthday, but some other jackass was also having his birthday karaoke there. It was a very A&F crowd, as someone said. Eventually everyone arrived and we sang and it was all very nice, except that we had to sit out in the back till it cleared out a touch. And Keely had to leave early before anyone sang.

Next day I was super exhausted and slept till like 1pm or so. I made coffee and then Katie and I bought some hair dye and foil. She did chunk of my hair in dark red, and then I did one big chunk of hers. She took a nap afterwards and I made dinner. There was talk of sushi but we figured it would be cheaper/better to eat at home, and Reg had bought an enormous bag of potstickers. We had been debating whether to go to a candy rave or not, but I finally decided it would be more fun to go someplace with better music and where we'd have a chance of knowing people.

Anyway we stopped at [livejournal.com profile] tyrven's for a bit, then headed to Waid's for "DJs and PJs." There were a few people we knew, but mostly we were dancing. [livejournal.com profile] velvet shocked me by actually wanting to come out, and he ended up dancing more than I did. I especially liked the Merchants Of set. The one annoying thing was after 2am, they kept confiscating drinks, like our Sprite. But apart from that, the music was great, the space was cool, and Reg was dancing like a maniac.

We got home a bit after four, still a bit amped. Eventually we fell asleep. I tried to get up at 1pm and succeeded for a bit, but at 3 or so I passed out again. I mostly read Crooked Little Vein, tried watching some TV and failed. Finally we put on The International, a nice and silly Clive Owen vehicle about banks hiring assassins so they can sell missiles to Arab nations. So that was fun.
