The Ballard Scream closed and the stylists are now on Cap Hill. So I went to Rudy's, because I refuse to pay over $25 for a haircut, only to find out that my hair is long enough to be in the "long hair, $26" category. Balls. And she didn't do what I wanted either; I wanted lots of visible layers from the crown on down, and she barely put any in before the banglength. I straightened it and adjusted some of that myself, but before that I took a picture of the first wash+gel look.

My hair tends to wave a little naturally, but I found if I have a textured enough cut I can encourage the curls more. I wash, condition, scrunch up my hair with really hardcore product, and let it air-dry. If it isn't textured enough, I have to blow dry it to get it to look like this. Yeah it looks nice but I think I'll have to eventually go back to the stylist I like, who does exactly what I want. This is far from what my hair looked like right after getting it cut, whereas my favorite stylist gets it right the first try.

Ugh. Anyway. I am wearing L'Oreal silver eyeshadow all over the lid up to the brow, brown Clinique eyeliner just at the edges, Clinique mascara, MAC lipstick, and Maybelline blush. (The extra glittery pink on my cheeks is actually eyeshadow by Wet'n'Wild. They are still the cheapest drugstore makeup, but the formulas seem to have improved since I was in jr. high.) And a little foundation on my nose.

edit: oh yeah also I dyed it using Special Effects Devilish.
