On Vox: argh

My Toshiba Tecra fan is making a horrible noise like an oven timer buzzing off. I tried shutting down but once booting it's just going and going and I'm listening to music via mp3 player to drown it out, but I'm slightly concerned my machine is going to die. This is nowhere near as concerned as I am about the GADDAMN NOISE.
