On Vox: gas prices lead to me reading more
May. 1st, 2007 10:15 amI finished this one last week. It wasn't very long, and it felt sort of like those young adult SF novels (Uglies for example). But it was slightly more grownup, our hero was 19 and engaged to be married till a mysterious someone attacked him through his family's perimeter guard. This attack was not fatal but still changes his life and his family's fortunes. Light and airy but kind of beautiful, the best part was the idea of a magazine consisting solely of gorgeous photographs and poems, epigraphs that are quoted among the intellectual and fashionable elite.
