Apr. 21st, 2004 09:53 amWhen Reg got a new camera, he gave me his old one. Not really doing anything much with it but taking lots of self-portraits. Liked one so much I made it my new icon. I'm still not sure if the shots I like are the ones without flash or with. I haven't played much with the camera, I was reading some tutorials yesterday and I guess I need to check white balance, because the ones I don't like put a yellowish cast on my skin that makes me look zombiefied.
I've been downloading a lot of music lately, cos people have been posting about stuff to download and I bought privileges on Soulseek. Anyway today I brought in a CD I burnt, new Modest Mouse and Zero 7 (among others). They're both decent, I guess. Still waiting for something to blow me away, but I have about 10 more albums to listen to so we'll see.
I started reading Snowcrash yesterday afternoon while eating some fucking spicy chips. I was going to have some milk stuff to kill the heat, but well, we don't have any milk. I guess I'm going to the grocery store. I was going to have instant cocoa but guess what, hot drinks are no better at killing heat than ice water is. Blargh. Well, anyway, despite this intense distraction I got through a few pages of the novel. It's funny so far, which is good. Funny is always good. But if we have to spend anymore time in cyberspace just talking about how cool it is, I'ma get bored quick.
We watched a couple of Gondry shorts/videos before Timeline last night. The latter was hella cheesy and doofy, and kind of boring. But we couldn't really watch Master and Commander as Reg had accidentally picked up the fullscreen version. Oh so annoying.
