So I'm fairly tired of being sick. I experimented yesterday with not taking any drugs; mistake! well, I took my antibiotics like a good girl, but that was it. Anyway I fell asleep before midnight and woke up around 8:30, and then I went through today still fucking tired, despite mass quantities of caffeine. Well, not that mass. I caved and took a 12-hour sudafed after lunch, and it's just started to kick in around 4pm. Although it's making me merely jittery rather than awake. It's killing my cough and runny nose, though.
Before I passed out last night, we watched The Kid Stays in the Picture, the biopic of Robert Evans who produced such films as Godfather and Chinatown. I was somewhat amused when he said he didn't "get" Chinatown but knew it had to be done. I mean, I didn't get it either. But I'm also a bit annoyed that that attitude exists. Well, actually I prefer that attitude to "what do people in Kansas want to see." I wish there were more of an indie presence in filmmaking, the way there is in music. Too bad it still costs so much damn money to get a film made.
