we got the beat
Aug. 19th, 2003 09:46 amSo yeah, I watched Sex and the City after the racist show, and that was amusing. It's probably the only show I've ever watched on television where they talk about how kids suck. Even Miranda was like "I only like my kid." I really liked the bit where Carrie was saying that it's unfair that singles don't ever get presents, yet are expected to gladly buy stuff for weddings/showers/etc. "What if I never get married? What then?"
Afterwards I headed out to Chop Suey because, well, Jerry Abstract was spinning and I love his stuff. I mainly just wanted to sit in a place with really loud music and let it drown out my thoughts, but then I saw a few people I knew. I think one of them was flirting with me but I wasn't in the mood. Nonetheless it was nice. I was mostly staring at this one cute guy whom I couldn't tell if he was gay or straight. I mean he was sort of dancing with this chick but in a weird non-touching way. It's so hard to tell if people are dating in this town when they never, like, touch each other. Of course the Romanians practically make out with me in public so there you go.
So then I was about to leave, as it was getting late, and I like sleep, when I saw Steve and Kaylan walking up the street. So I flirted a bit with the flyer guy, then went back in for a drink. They were both a little out of it due to alcohol, which meant free drink for me. And then after that (and a spot of back massage) I went out, flirted a bit more with the flyer guy, then drove home. And now I'm late to work and drinking a double latte.
