DJ Vadim kicked ass. I was happy - well, not happy per se, but smug - that few people were dancing beyond the standard head-nod. It gives me something to be self-righteous about. Also I'm not completely jaded about having fun, I just don't want anyone to act like they're having more fun than me. When we're at the same level, that is about perfect. When other people - lots of other people - are having way more fun than me, then I am scared. Especially at Seattle shows. Well, whatever. I really had a great time, got my little white ass jiggy with it. The female rapper person had the sexiest voice I've heard in ages, too.

(OK SO I AM EVIL but I laughed when this guy, DJ Vital, went off on what I can only assume was a coke-fueled diatribe about how he had a dream, that one day, all the children of Seattle will rise up, hip-hop fans, raver kids, and indie rock scenesters, join hands together and cry out "FREE AT LAST!" I swear to God that is what he said. Well, not word-for-word, I left about a dozen "and, like,"s there. Also I'm sorry but I don't give a shit about the poor white girl who got bulldozed, yes it's terrible but worse happens every day in Israel, just because she's from here doesn't mean I have to care any more.)
