I suppose one should really not go out and drink after A) not eating dinner and B) having a cold and such. But that's part of being an adult, having the freedom to make decisions. I know it's bad to do it but I do it anyway, and pay the price the next day.

However it's not really much fun to wake up after four hours of sleep with a cough. I coughed for an hour before I realized it was not going to stop on its own, so I took some cough syrup and went back to bed. It took another hour for it to really kick in, and I finally got some sleep. But after about ninety minutes Steve woke me up; we had to run errands. I felt like Matthew Eappen but went for it anyway. Felt slightly better after eating food and drinking caffeine.

[Aside: we all know the whole point of Starbucks is to ingest caffeine in a rather more flavorful manner than standard coffee, hence the Frappacino craze. I'm waiting for them to just cut the crap and rent IV drips along with a can of whipped cream. I'm quite surprised Microsoft doesn't already have them in place, really.]

And now we're trying to tell ourselves that we shouldn't go out. Well, we know that already, but we're not entirely convinced that staying home all night is the most utilitarian option. But then we're nihilists anyway.
