Concert tonight:

I liked Garbage. I mean Shirley Manson has the sexiest voice evah, and they only played 2 songs off the new album (which I don't like), the rest stuff I know from 2.0 and the first album. So that was great. Not quite as cool as the show I saw in Raleigh three years back, but hell, what can you do? they weren't the main act, and couldn't go on forever.

Whereas I totally knew no songs No Doubt played. At least they started with "Hella Good", but I totally knew no other songs they played. Which was a shame as they were putting on a pretty damn good show. Gwen's stomach distracted me for a while, though. My god, that thing is a work of art, and I want one just like it. But only that could occupy me for so long, especially as it made me think of sex with someone who wasn't there.

But just as I was about to give up and leave, they did an amazing version of "I'm Just A Girl."

a quick confession

I find the body piercing trend to be an amazing turn-off. I can put up with small ear stuff, but anything more makes me want to heave. Especially eyebrow piercings. Those make me want to twitch in sympathy for the girl I once read about, who pierced her eyebrow, hit a nerve and had a twitchy eye for a while afterwards.

Which is weird because I actually find youngish men with lip rings are incredibly hot. I don't know why one fills me with revulsion and the other fills me with lust, but what can you do. Maybe it's because it draws attention to the lips, and I do like boys with nice full lips (what you'd call "DSL" on chicks), and I do like kissing a lot. And it's sort of "rebellious bad boy" without being really scary.
