"jiffy lube my ass"
May. 28th, 2002 07:22 pmThe last time I changed my car oil was, um, March. Before I moved here, actually. In that time period I drove across the country and then put on another three thousand miles. Of course six thousand miles in a year isn't all that bad, but I really should have had my oil changed before this.
The attendent was a very nice young woman - maybe my age - who told me that I probably needed all sorts of expensive things done to my car. Having the oil changed twice would have been a lot cheaper, I guess, but oh well. I said "Go for it" and ended up sitting on my ass for an hour.
I did read a very interesting magazine called "Travel Leisure" or something, which had articles on Honolulu and Jamaica as well as a focus on American cities. There was one section which was all about the new hip and happening neighborhoods in cities all over the country, and of course I latched onto the Seattle section. So you heard it here first - SoDo is the next tourist attraction. Sheah, right.
