poem for lost objects

I saw Oscar Wilde
every day
larger than life
a mural
a woodcut
co-opted to sell clothes
on the side of a store
he was twenty feet high
yellow and black and white

until the day
the shop was sold
and the walls repainted

never again will I see him there.

Normally I work eight or 8.5 hour days, but the past week I've been really pushing it. And it sucked, although only in the strictest sense. I actually quite liked the adrenaline rush I was getting - and now it's all over. It's feeling a bit odd, really. It's somewhat reminiscent of Finals Week, but instead of going back home afterwards, I have to GO BACK TO WORK!!!

So this morning, I crashed pretty hard. It kind of sucked. Thank Bog for lattes.
