They played iwilldare's song on the way to work this morning on KEXP. I think it's a sign. It certainly helped relax me after the scary wet freeway. I'm from North Carolina, people. It doesn't rain there.

I actually did get to work on my novel last night. Only 500 words, but considering it's been a month since I've worked on it, that's pretty ok. Plus, I had been editing it slightly the past week, and probably took out fifty words or so. It's fun to read over. I thought that the work, which already contains 65K words, would read too slowly, but except for the very beginning it's not too bad at all. I spent a lot of time on building the characters, which is why it's so long, but I like characters.

Anyway, I'm at the crucial moment In Which The Hero Realizes He's A Bleeding Moron, which should add some tension. Of course it'll be tricky to keep the delicate balance between him obsessing about it, and not thinking about it at all, but I'll do what I can.
