musings from the newly employed
Feb. 5th, 2002 03:22 pmGod, I hate commuting. Thank god they don't mind if I come in after nine. It seems most people on this freeway exit get in at 8:30 or whatever, so there's no problems if I leave home at 8:55. Today I had to bring Nick in, and naturally everyone and their brother seems get to MS at that time, so it was a pain.
What was really the pain was going to the post office at noon. I should have gone now instead, but I didn't know my boss was going to be OOF. Well, now I know. Damn traffic of normal people eating lunch at a normal hour. It took forever I tell you. I'm thinking that I'm not going to take the freeway to go home, since I won't be able to use the HOV lane. Plus I can stop by the Asian market to pick up some Koala candy. That shit is good.
Realization of the week: I am SO not a morning person. But I'm also not a flourescent-lights person. Those things just make me wanna sleep, no matter what time of day it is. I don't know why. No wonder everyone is addicted to caffeine - it's the only way to stay awake. Even then you aren't really alert, just jittery and drowsy. Bleh. I need some cocaine, man.
