lauralhIn continuing with the "filthy drugged leftists listen to music in pig shit" series, Reg rented the Glastonbury festival documentary. Most of it really is just the founder, following him around, and then also there are the bands, and naked ewwwwww Brits. Oh, and my favorite part is when they say something inadvertently horrible, like "I can understand when they do this [police harrassment] with blacks, but when it's whites, it's a travesty" or something like that.
I will say that the British celtic/pagan bullshit is a lot cooler than hippie Eastern bullshit. Although, goddamn England, what is with all the fucking ska? This is just inappropriate.
Oh yeah and it was weird seeing a couple of the same guys from Woodstock playing again 30 year later.
Honestly it seemed a bit more like Burning Man, although with more of a focus on duh the music, and with far better weather. (Sure there were 2 foot swells of rainwater in places, but hay it's England right?) But all the costumes and pageantry and whatnot. And people punching cameramen.
But man, seeing Bowie playing there wouldda been sweet.
