its reasonable that if a woman beats up a guy who was harassing her in a bar, most people are going to cheer her on, and then he'll probably just get kicked out anyway, while in the opposite situation they would be calling the cops on the guy straight off the bat. sure its a double-standard, but women and men still aren't quite equal either physically or on the social playing field.
this author seems to be splitting hairs on what exactly her provocation was to jump at this guy, and whether her response was appropriate, but common sense says it was probably justified. I'm not in favor of woman having carte-blanche to beat the shit out of any guy in a bar, but i really dont think that is what is happenening.
Which is really the key. I don't its quite equal due to size differences. Where smaller women are just allowed a little more lee-way. Obviously she can't take out a baseball bat and start swinging.
If its out of control then I wouldn't trust her with a kid.
