Steve bought me Batman Begins and a training manual for my birthday. (13 DAYS) Reg and I watched it last night. I mean, we saw it in the theater too. I still like it. I'm not sure how Cillian Murphy gets cast as psycho creeps instead of as Victorian Gentlemen, and I can't help seeing him both ways.

Actually, in The Descent of Women, there's an interesting explanation about sex and violence. Starting with the whole aquatic ape theory, the genitals of humans are unlike every other landbound mammal, ventral instead of dorsal. So we had to start fucking from the front to have descendents, and women didn't like that. Meaning the orgasms didn't migrate immediately to the clitoris - the female body was slow to change. Anyway moving from doggie style to missionary was kind of scary for women, and only men who disregarded their cries at the time left descendents. Of course they had to be nice after and before, in order to keep having more descendents. So kissing and hugging and foreplay and eventually love developed to counteract scary sex.

IIRC, Cillian Murphy auditioned for the role of Batman, and was given the villain role as a consolation prize...or something.

Cool theory that aquatic ape. Maybe Atlantis only metaphorically sank like our bubbles tend to burst. It was lost because we left the sea.
