you know those guys.

We watched Everything is Illuminated last night. Pretty much brilliant in the way I want my Indie films to be. Starts out light and gradually gets more serious and intimate till the slightly painful/bittersweet ending. I liked it more than I thought I would.

I love that movie!
The foreign tour guide is hilarious.

i had a pass to see the sneak preview of it, and only went because it was free. what a great movie it turned out to be! though it's weird because when people ask if it's good, it's hard to explain that it's good but kinda slow and serious, but still really captivating. *shrug*

I felt the same way about the film.

Recently watched it. Its rare that a movie motivates me to read the book, but this one drew me in on so many levels. Hope to dive into it this summer.

1) He was the guy who would check out books but couldn't read them.
2) It sounded like most of the women weren't killed, just her pregnant sister b/c of the Torah spitting thing.

1) Because he was lonely since his wife died and seeing his old village just kind of wiped him out.
2) He was THE GUY IN THE VILLAGE WHO DIDN'T READ.
3) That was him. He survived and ran far away.
